R&D PROJECT
eliminating dependence from component supplier
The client was a startup founded by experts specializing in microwave physics and biophysical measurement. The company had designed and built a medical device based on UHF wave technology. At the time the project began, the company was already engaged in advanced commercial negotiations with partners around the world – including institutions affiliated with the defense sector.
Due to serious logistical challenges, the company was forced to discontinue cooperation with the supplier of one of its key components. The goal of the project was to find a solution that would eliminate the need for this component altogether.
The project was carried out in close collaboration with the client’s team.
Project goal
Development of a new technology for use in a medical device.
Project results
- redesigned the operating principle of an entire subsystem and eliminated dependency on external suppliers by developing proprietary component manufacturing technology
- significantly reduced the overall cost of the device
- reduced the device’s size, enabling the design of a portable model
- applied the proprietary technology in other industries
